  • Overview

    Fleet Service Ramp Manager must be able to perform all duties, under sometimes stressful conditions beyond the team member’s control, but always ensuring that the air carrier’s representatives are left with only the most favorable impression of the services being performed. Managers are expected to familiarize themselves with the respective air carrier’s policies, practices and procedures, with the goal of representing the air carrier in a positive and professional manner. As the possibility of bodily injury/death or serious damage to equipment or aircraft is ever present, safety is always top priority and should never be compromised.  Compliance and vigilance towards security regulations must be followed at all times.

     

    Fleet Service Ramp Manager must be able to demonstrate above average qualities of leadership, initiative and judgment. Be comfortable organizing work groups. Be able to consistently observe and conduct a safe and effective operation. Be comfortable multi-tasking and have administrative and analytical skills. Above average attendance is required. A valid driver’s license is required.

     

    Fleet Service Ramp Managers are required to have a combination of mental and physical capabilities (e.g. pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, walking, twisting, reaching, standing, squatting and stooping; lifting of 70 or more pounds). Must be able to perform duties in variable weather conditions as well as variable environmental conditions.  Must be available to respond to emergency situations.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledgeable with Company, Customer (contracts), and Governing entities policies (FAA, DHS, APHIS, LEO, AOC, etc.)
    • Ensure that all employees are in compliance with each contract’s rules, regulations, and training requirements
    • Scheduling requirements are met
    • Oversee cleaning and servicing aircraft, to include cabin interiors and cargo pits
    • Oversee accurate Loading/Unloading checked baggage/cargo, to include accurate baggage manifests
    • Direct assistance of special needs guest (wheelchair), to include their personal property
    • Ensure on time departures without compromising safety
    • In charge of maintaining all ground service equipment, as to servicing and cleaning; maintain in presentable condition.(Track on preventative maintenance log and file in ACS office)
    • Responsible for all Fleet service team under your supervision to complete their assigned duties
    • Report any incident, accident, injury to management immediately
    • Timely submissions of company documents, to include JPE’s. PIA’s, CIS’s, SOC
    • Prompt responses to internal and external clientele
    • Communicate effectively and positively to promote and achieve success
    • Other duties as directed by the Station Manager
    • Certification is required for the use of all motorized and non-motorized equipment

    Qualifications

    • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Valid driver's license and clean abstract
    • Flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays preferred
    • Authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must pass pre-employment drug-test
    • Must be able to obtain an AOA Badge and other airport requirements
    • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
