The Human Resources Manager guides and manages all Human Resources services, policies, and programs for Aloha Contract Services. The major responsibilities include recruiting and staffing, talent management, compliance, compensation, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, employee safety and welfare.


  • Plans and organizes all activities of the human resources and the payroll department. Participates in developing goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation and benefits programs; rewrites job descriptions as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements HR policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the team member’s handbook; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt employees, monitors mentoring programs, employee relations counseling, investigation, and exit interviewing; writes and places job recruitment advertisements.
  • Participates in executive management meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains company organization charts.  Upkeep of the Human Resources Information Systems and timekeeping.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the company and services performed.
  • Develops and maintains the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated drug and alcohol program.  Ensure timely random drug testing, proper record keeping, and accurate submission of annual reports.
  • Responsible for training and development of the Payroll Specialist. Act as a backup to payroll.
  • Develops and enhance scheduling processes to maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Ensure the company is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and policies.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Creates and maintains the company website.
  • Assists the I.T. department with I.T. related functions and upkeep of the phone systems.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar major or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 4 years of progressively more responsible positions in humna resources
  • Experience supervising and managing a professional staff
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification a plus
